pigeond.net...

One of my favorites coding activity is to write daemon type systems or programs. I've written a simple IRC daemon, SMTP briding daemon, stuffs like that. That's how I made up the name "pigeond", which means pigeon daemon. If I'm going to write a pigeon daemon, it will be damn cool... Controlling all pigeons in the world... wow... :)

Basically pigeond.net is my personal site. All written in perl scripts (and HTML of course). And I want to keep the site simple and clean. I'm not saying all the HTML codes in this site would be really good and nice. I just try to make them all passing the W3C HTML validator.

What I mean is a site which has nothing fancy. No flash (You idiot!), no Javascript (unless it makes sense), no Java applet (What are you thinking?), no frames (though links and w3m support it). In my opinion, a good website must be lynx/links friendly and bandwidth friendly :) Though, my site is getting more and more these days :\

Also, almost everything in this site are dynamically generated. I want my websites to be easy to manage. I want to update my website just by writing a plain text file or sending an e-mail, instead of fooling around with HTML codes all time. Well actually I don't mind to :P

Oh, btw, all text and source codes, html codes are created with vim, and all graphics are created or edited with GIMP.

And if you scroll down to the bottom of every page, you will find a random quote. They are quotes I like personally. Feel free to share your favorite quotes with me :)

Anyway, hope you'll enjoy this site...
